Volunteer Details Sister
Schools of San Diego is a recently formed non-profit organization that focuses
on connecting schools in San Diego with schools around the world. We promote
projects in arts, sciences, and business that enable students and teachers
from elementary through high school to benefit from the experience of their
peers in other countries. We are looking for interns to assist in the following
areas; both short and long term.
Public Relations & Marketing: Individual(s) will work under
the general guidance of our Director of PR to create collateral materials
and design a public relation plan.
Fundraising:
Individual(s) will research, identify and catalog possible funding sources and help with grant submissions.
Project Site Assistance: Individual(s) will act as liasons with
classroom teachers to implement projects, assist with data collection, and
correspondence.
Translation: Individuals will help translate projects and portions
of the web site information into Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese,
Farsi, and other languages.
Web Site:
Individual(s) will help update site, design pages for new projects, and interface with schools here and abroad.
