October 27, 2002 - Suzi Almeida, Educational Director of Centro Cultural, Campinas, Brazil, visited Sister Schools in San Diego and attended a reception in her honor.


July 12, 2002 - Signing Agreement Ceremony with Scripps Ranch High School and No. 3 Middle School in Suzhou, China. Students, Teachers, and Administrators from Suzhou, China, leaving Scripps Ranch High School after their San Diego visit. They enjoyed the opportunity to interact with their host families and to see many of the wonderful sights in San Diego.

The crowd gathered and applauded their approval at the signing ceremony bringing Tijuana schools and San Diego Schools together in a partnership of learning and intercultural exchange. Morse High School of San Diego, and Prepatoria Aaxro Cardenas of Tijuana, Mexico, are the first two schools to participate in this cultural exchange.


November 21, 2000 - Principal of Colégio Rio Branco, América Bueno de Figueiredo visits King Elementary and Preuss Charter School at UCSD.

 


May 31, 2000 -
Martha Gould, Chairperson, US National Commission on Libraries and information sciences (NCLIS), Washington D.C. visits San Diego to present plaques to the Sister Libraries White House Millennium Project participants.   


Wednesday, Jan 13, 1999
- Mayor Timoteo Encarnacion and delegation from Cavite City, Philippines visits Morse High School and signs a Sister School Agreement.
