| La Jolla High School La Jolla Sister High School (Sister Schools Club) About the School: LJHS is a school with a strong emphasis on academic achievement. Over 90% of the graduates continue their education at universities and colleges, with a significant number attending Ivy Leage, out-of-state, and University of California institutions. Approximately one-half of our students come from communities outside La Jolla. Roughly 40% of the student body is comprised of under-represented groups, 28% of whom come to La Jolla High under the Voluntary Ethnic Enrollment Plan (VEEP). The Sister Schools Club of La Jolla High School has partnered with 2 different international organizations to improve the educational opportunities for students in both Nepal and Uganda. Their efforts, including fund raising, have led to the construction/improvement of 3 schools in Nepal and the chance for an education for 24 students in Uganda.
